Time to start thinking about the 2014 SMRC Hamfest

As the weather starts to warm a little, its time to start working toward our annual hamfest/tailgate. It will be in the traditional location at Cedars of Lebanon State Park on the 23rd of August. Check the website for park general information and reservations. You can also get general vendor information along with the vendor grid for space rental options along with vendor applications.

Make your plans to be there! More information will be coming soon.

13 COLONIES SPECIAL EVENT

13 Colonies Special Event July 1-8, 2019

The 11th 13 Colonies Special Event will take place from July 1 (13z) until July 8 (04z) with the following calls: 



K2A, K2B, K2C, K2D, K2E, K2F, K2G, K2H, K2I, K2J, K2K, K2L, K2M, K2Z, GB13COL, and WM3PEN.

Military Crossband-Amateur Radio Communications Day May 11th

The Army Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) will host the traditional military/Amateur Radio communication tests to mark the 68th annual Armed Forces Day (AFD) on Saturday, May 11. The event is open to all radio amateurs. Armed Forces Day is May 18, but the AFD Crossband Military-Amateur Radio event traditionally takes place 1 week earlier in order to avoid conflicting with Hamvention®. Complete information, including military stations, modes, and frequencies, is available on the US Army MARS website.

Brent Mangrum KI4KZS Receives ARRL Elmer Award

At the February Short Mountain Repeater Club Meeting Brent Mangrum, KI4KZS received the ARRL Elmer Award

This award is in recognition of special efforts of assisting other hams in the advancement of their amateur radio hobby
