5/17 Trader's Net (Dipoles)

Last night's Trader's Net was very informative, I appreciate the contributions of all who called in and especially those who shared their experience with us about dipole antennas. The majority of those who offered comments indicated they preferred the inverted dipole configuration. The discussion included what constitutes a dipole, the use of odd multiples in dipole configurations and how that affects transmission patterns, the factors that affect impedance, how mounting heights influence the launch angle, and the effect of feed point. Most of these points could be subjects by themselves, and we may come back to them at some point. We ended the evening briefly talking about feedline and connectors. Thanks again to all who participated! I've included some of the sources I found on the subject for those who are interested.

Since there was a lot of interest in the inverted V configuration, let's talk about it next week or we can start the conversation now on the forum. Tell us what you think.
